2015 Mazda RX-7 With A New Rotary Engine
2015 Mazda RX-7 possibly will be launched in 2015 or 2016 year, and will cost about $30,000. Talking about the new Mazda RX7?s exterior design, it would follow the same design philosophy as the next-gen MX-5, which is due in 2015. And given the MX-5 is expected to tip the scales at anywhere from 2,200 to 2,400 pounds (998 to 1088 kg), the RX-7 is expected to weigh about 2,800 pounds (1,270 kg).
2015 Mazda RX-7 expected will be powered by a naturally-aspirated rotary engine with two or three rotors. The engine is expected to have a displacement of roughly 1.2 liters and an output of approximately 250 bhp (186 kW). 2015 Mazda RX-7 should also be more reliable and fuel-efficient that the oil and gas guzzling engine that was used in the RX-8.
Mazda bosses are officially stating there are “no concrete” plans for a new RX-7, in private conversations executives have admitted that a new coupe with a new rotary engine is on its way and could go on sale by 2016.
